REQUIESCAT IN PACE ET IN AMORE
Commissioned by the Texas Tech Trombone Choir, this octet is all about saying goodbye. To be Premiered at the 2019 International Trombone Festival
AMONG THE OUTCASTS
This piece was inspired by themes of rejection and loneliness, the dark chords and lack of consonant sounds attempt to convey negative emotions.
Among the Outcasts is dedicated with enormous respect to my first piano instructor Dr.Carla Cash
JUDGEMENT IN ECHOES
People come and go.
Experiences and memories are forgotten.
We take the people closest to us for granted,
and to often let new influences destroy us.
Then what is left?
Find Judgement in the Echoes of your past.
Cherish the people who mean the most,
and above all...
Make every moment count.
Titled after the Greek Mythological character by the same name, Deucalion explores the three main events in the character's tale. The piece is broken up into three smaller sections entitled The Great Flood, Nine Days and Nights, and Humanity.
Dedicated to my friend and mentor, Trombone Professor James T Decker.
